Big Wreck added to Budweiser New Music Fest Sudbury, to replace Theory of a Deadman

The third annual Budweiser New Music Fest Sudbury headliner concert is nearing a sell out, taking place Saturday June 7th at Grace Hartman Amphitheatre. On the bill includes, Big Wreck (recently added), Monster Truck, The Glorious Sons, Gentlemen Husbands, Golden Gate Graves & local Sudbury group, Echoes the Lion.

New Music Fest organizers had to switch out Theory of a Deadman with Big Wreck last minute, following the announcement that singer Tyler Connolly of Theory of a Deadman has been battling complications due to laryngitis, leaving him unable to perform this Saturday June 7th.

"We were absolutely stunned when we heard the news”, comments Paul Fairley, Festival Director. “We’ve dealt with a lot of hurdles in our experience, but never our co-headliner of a festival cancelling last minute and with no warning.”

Thankfully, New Music Fest organizers have stepped up to make sure they deliver on their promise to produce a world-class music festival in the City of Greater Sudbury, even under these unfortunate circumstances.

In a further statement Fairley comments, “We were faced with an awkward decision of cancelling the show while upsetting a lot of excited festival-goers, which isn't what anyone wants and would be quite ridiculous. Or, we could pull a rabbit out of our hat and save the day, which thanks to Big Wreck, is certainly the case. We appreciate everyone's understanding in the matter and are wishing Tyler of Theory, a very speedy recovery.”

Budweiser New Music Fest Sudbury, will host over 35 live regional and national acts of various genres performing at multiple live music venues. Participating venues will each host three to four established and developing touring artists, collectively sharing multiple festival stages. These venues include: Grace Hartman Amphitheatre, Coulson Nightclub (patio), Cousin Vinny’s, Peddler’s Pub & The Townehouse.
