Budweiser New Music Fest Barrie announces a Free Outdoor Concert at Memorial Square!

To compliment the festivals ticketed headliner concert featuring Big Wreck, USS, Crash Karma, The Reason, Young Empires & more, the 2013 New Music Fest Barrie will be hosting a free concert on Friday July 19 featuring Die Mannequin & Courage My Love, at Memorial Square downtown Barrie.

The 6th annual Budweiser New Music Fest Barrie, powered by MADY, will host over 50 live regional and national acts of various genres performing at multiple live music venues. Participating indoor venues will each host three-four established and developing touring artists, collectively sharing multiple festival stages.

Festival History

The New Music Fest originated in Barrie ON (2008) and has since grown to include Sudbury and London ON, on separate weekends.  Artists who have performed with New Music Fest in the past include The Tea Party, Ian Thornley, Big Wreck, The Trews, Big Sugar, Treble Charger, Monster Truck, USS, illScarlett and a long list of Canada’s hardest working indie bands and musicians.

Tourism Barrie awarded Admiral Creative Group & New Music Fest with the “Best Marketing Campaign” in 2010 and again in 2012.  This award recognizes a marketing campaign that contributes to promoting the city as a quality destination and that demonstrates effectiveness in increasing tourism
