New Music Fest Barrie (July 17-18) will feature performances by Big Wreck, USS, Scott Weiland and the Wildabouts (formerly of Stone Temple Pilots & Velvet Revolver), Down With Webster, JJ & the Pillars, Stereo Kid, The Alpacas, Golden Gate Graves and more! Barrie’s two-day outdoor concert series will take place at Heritage Park, corner of Bayfield & Simcoe St, Barrie, ON at Barrie’s beautiful downtown waterfront.
New Music Fest Sudbury (August 28-29) will feature performances by Tim Hicks, Big Wreck, Moist, Kira Isabella, Autumn Hill, and many more! Sudbury’s two-day outdoor concert series will take place at Grace Hartman Amphitheatre, 900 Paris St, Sudbury, ON (Bell Park).
Each city festival will host roughly 25 live regional and national acts of various genres performing at multiple live music venues. In previous years, festival-goers had only the option of a 1-Day Saturday outdoor concert, but this year (2015) New Music Fest has expanded its programming with the addition of a second outdoor concert, taking place on the Friday of each particular festival weekend. Festival outdoor concert tickets are now available as 2-Day and 1-Day passes.
Festival organizers promise a more vibrant, interactive, and visually appealing festival experience in 2015. “New Music Fest-goers can expect more for their money”, comments Festival Director, Paul Fairley. “I’m proud of the product our team is building for 2015 and can’t wait to share these heightened festival experiences with everyone.” New Music Fest 2015 programming enhancements are all part of a tourism development project supported by Celebrate Ontario, funding administered by the Ministry of Tourism Culture and Sport.
