The first annual Budweiser New Music Fest London is a two-day live music festival, originating in Barrie, ON in 2008 and has since grown to include Sudbury and London Ontario, on separate weekends. The New Music Fest celebrates the culture and development of new music by promoting awareness of the vast amount of musical talent this great country has to offer.
Each two-day New Music Fest hosts between 30-50 local, regional, and national live touring acts of various genres performing at multiple live music venues throughout the festival weekend. The New Music Fest London will take place on November 1-2, 2013. All participating venues will showcase three to four established and developing artists who will collectively share multiple festival stages.
Artists who have performed with New Music Fest in Barrie & Sudbury include The Tea Party, Ian Thornley, Big Wreck, The Trews, Big Sugar, Treble Charger, Monster Truck, USS, illScarlett, The Arkells, Young Empires, Crash Karma, The Reason and a long list of Canada’s hardest working indie bands. Participating venues of the inaugural New Music Fest London include; The Scot’s Corner, The Coat Of Arms, Fitzray’s, Eastside Bar & Grill, and Fox & Fiddle.
